Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that we have a responsibility to make a positive impact on the world and we are committed to doing so. That’s why we take measures to ensure that our products are sustainably made, locally produced, and packaged with eco-friendly materials. As a proud member of 1% for the Planet, we also pledge 1% of annual sales to environmental organizations.
We’re committed to using sustainable materials for our puzzles. All of our puzzles are made in the EU from locally sourced recycled materials and in compliance with the toughest environmental standards. We use recycled chipboard for all of our boxes and puzzles. The shrink-wrap and puzzle bags are both recyclable and since 2023 our puzzle bags are paper-based to help reduce plastic waste. We are actively exploring better solutions for the future, like using algae-based polymers.
In terms of production, we’ve made a conscious decision to manufacture our puzzles closer to our customers. In Europe, our puzzles are made in Germany, in the first climate-neutral factory in Europe. For our North American customers, our puzzles are made in USA in our partner’s facility in Indiana. This means we reduced unnecessary long-distance freight and ensure our puzzles comply with European and US quality and fair labor standards.
We’re proud to be certified as 1% for the Planet Member. As part of our commitment, we have planted over 133,000 trees in partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects since we started in 2021. Additionally, we’ve been able to help Charity Water provide clean water to 2 million people in 2022. We’ve also donated puzzles to charities around the world to support causes that are close to our hearts within medical research, education, women’s empowerment, social welfare, arts & culture, and more.
